Governor Will Also Join Conference Call to Discuss Efforts to Help Small Businesses

Governor Jim Doyle will join President Barack Obama at an event at the White House recognizing small business owners from around the country tomorrow, Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Washington, D.C.

As part of National Small Business Week, the President is hosting award-winning small business owners at an event in the Rose Garden where he will make remarks about the important role small businesses play in the nation’s economy and his push for small business jobs legislation that helps community banks and local small businesses create jobs across the country.

After the event, Governor Doyle will join U.S. SBA Administrator Karen Mills, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, and Counselor to the U.S. Treasury Secretary Gene Sperling on a conference call with reporters at 12:15 p.m. (EDT) to discuss the Administration’s efforts to help small businesses.

Governor Doyle has been a national leader in working with the Obama Administration to help small businesses gain access to much-needed credit so they can expand and create jobs as the national economy recovers.
