Organic Creamery® 8-ounce sticks and Mario Batali 5-ounce cheese blends receive new looks

RICHFIELD, Wis., August 31, 2010 – DCI Cheese Company is unveiling new product packaging for its Organic Creamery 8 oz. sticks and Mario Batali 5 oz. cups. The Organic Creamery line features new labeling on all 8 oz. stick varieties: Muenster, White Colby, Mild White Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, Monterey Jack and Pepper Jack. The Mario Batali line is introducing new, rounded square shaped “squa-round” cups for its 5 oz. cheese blends: Tre Formaggi (Mozzarella, Fontina and Parmesan) and Cinque Formaggi (Mozzarella, Provolone Picante, Fontina, Asiago and imported Grana Padano). Both Organic Creamery and Mario Batali cheeses can be found in select retailers nationwide.

Organic Creamery cheeses are produced in a manner that is beneficial to the health and welfare of people, animals and the environ ment. All products are hand-crafted by award winning Wisconsin cheesemakers with 100% certified organic milk. The fresh milk used in production is sourced from family farms that practice humane animal management and pasture grazing and is free of pesticides, antibiotics and hormones. Additionally, no animal rennet or artificial colorings are used during production. Organic Creamery is the most extensive line of certified organic cheese varieties in the United States and proudly displays the USDA organic seal. Organic Creamery’s new labels were redesigned to better convey the clean, fresh feel of the brand.

Mario Batali three- and five-cheese blends combine distinguished Italian flavors with the everyday convenience of shredded cheese. “Premium, natural ingredients are the secret to great Italian cooking,” says Batali, who is recognized as one of America’s foremost authorities on Italian cooking. “Our freshly shredded cheese blends have been selected for their taste and texture as the perfect pizza and pasta topping.” Mario Batali’s cheese blends combine traditional shredded cheeses – such as Parmesan and Mozzarella – with more adventurous flavors to create exciting, flavorful blends. The blends’ new squa-round containers and lids are molded from FDA-approved recyclable plastic resins and include a tamper-resistant inner heat seal film to ensure product freshness. The rounded square shape of the package offers enhanced product visibility and crisp, modern graphics that feature recipe ideas specially developed for consumers.

All the Organic Creamery 8 oz. sticks and the Mario Batali 5 oz. blends, now with redesigned labels and new, squa-round cups, respectively, are available to consumers at select retailers nationwide.
