Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce: Offering two scholarships to area high school seniors

Cross Plains, WI—The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce will be offering two $500 scholarships to two area high school seniors to assist them in their post high school education.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

* Graduating senior

* Student or parent(s) lives or works in the Village of Cross Plains, Town of Cross Plains or Town of Berry

* Student plans to attend a technical school, college or university

Applications have been distributed to Edgewood High School, Middleton High School, Mt. Horeb High School, Verona High School, Waunakee High School, and Wisconsin Heights High School. Applications forms must be received no later than May 1, 2010. The scholarships will be awarded at the CPACC Annual Memorial Day Chicken Barbeque which will be held on Monday, May 31.

The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce has 100 local businesses members who work together for the betterment of our community. We are passionate about improving our community while we grow healthy businesses. The CPACC mission statement is: “Promote a strong economy and high quality of life for our Chamber members and the Cross Plains area community.” At the Chamber, we look forward to growing our membership and benefits, offering Chamber health insurance, hosting a new interactive website, expanding regional relationships, advertising, marketing, and educational opportunities, and promotion of local companies and members.
