Common Sense coupon magazine reintroduces itself to 212,000 Madison residents with a new look, new layout and new interactive Website

Beginning in July, Common Sense magazine – the longest running coupon book in the Madison area – will have a new look, a new layout and a new interactive Website.

Common Sense has been a staple among both local businesses that have advertised and area residents who have utilized the savings offered by the coupons in each issue. In 2009, the magazine changed ownership, and has since been working to update and upgrade its brand. The new look will debut in the July issue.

Each magazine features coupons and other savings from area businesses. There will be four regional editions for Madison readers – Northeast, Southeast, Northwest and Southwest. Each issue will feature a custom combination of advertising from the local businesses in the neighborhoods those businesses serve.

In addition to the magazine, Common Sense will have a strong online presence at http://www.commonsenseoupons.net. The Website will feature coupons that were not only published in the magazine, but will also feature coupons not available in print. Visitors to the site can search by category, business or browse the listings for coupons from their favorite local businesses, then print or forward coupons directly from the Website.

“We’re very excited about the direction we’re taking Common Sense,” said Mike Kollath, new publisher of the magazine and president of Common Sense Publishing. “The magazine has always been dedicated to providing real money-saving opportunities to the local community, and giving local businesses a truly effective way to promote their products and services. But, we’ve been able to take this mission to the next level with our new Website, and all the features it offers.”

Research shows that direct mail is one of the most effective promotional strategies for business, especially combined with the use of coupons and money-saving offers. Common Sense strives to exceed advertisers’ expectations in helping them achieve measurable return on their investment, and to provide readers with the best cost-savings opportunities from the businesses they frequent.
