Madison, Wis. (July 29, 2010) – American Family Insurance and the Wisconsin School of Business present the next in the Forward Thinking Speaker Series, featuring Simon Johnson, one of the world’s foremost authorities on the financial sector and economic crises. His presentation is entitled: “The Financial Crisis – Where We’ve Been, Where We Need to Go.”

Johnson will discuss how the recent financial crisis developed due to a rise of concentrated financial power and unregulation, and how avoiding future disasters depends on rejecting current finance ideology.
Johnson’s work focuses on policymakers and how they can limit the impact of negative shocks, manage risks and maintain global stability. He is the co-author of 13 Bankers: The Wall Street Takeover and the Next Financial Meltdown.
