— A University of Wisconsin dean has been appointed to a senior position in the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Molly Jahn, dean of the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, will lead three USDA units that provide research and service on issues related to food and agriculture. The move comes just a few days after U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack visited Wisconsin to speak at a conference for environmental journalists and to tour the Crave Brothers Farm in Waterloo.
