— Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that his office has obtained a judgment in the amount of $5.5 million against a Colorado corporation, the National Rebate Fund, Inc., and its owner, Timothy Stubbs, over their operation of a fraudulent rebate scheme known as the National Energy Rebate Fund.

State hospitals have $22B economic impact: Wisconsin hospitals generate more than $22 billion annually in economic activity and employ more than 100,000 people in communities throughout the state, according to a new study by the University of Wisconsin-Extension. State, cities to receive energy stimulus money: Oshkosh will receive more than $630,000 for energy efficiency and conservation projects, President Barack Obama’s administration announced Thursday. The money is part of an additional $37.1 million the Department of Energy has allocated for Wisconsin under Obama’s economic recovery package. In addition, Fond du Lac will get $187,500 and Sheboygan will get $209,300. Brown and Outagamie counties $612,000 and $492,300 respectively.

Paper Converting to furlough workers: Paper Converting Machine Co. is implementing furloughs and offering options for voluntary layoffs in June through September.
