MILWAUKEE – UrbanRe Vitalization Group LLC is proud to announce they have joined Focus on Energy’s Renewable Energy Market Provider Program. In addition to educating Wisconsin residents and businesses about the benefits of renewable energy, the program is a way for renewable energy businesses and professionals to promote their services with the help of Focus on Energy, Wisconsin’s energy efficiency and renewable energy initiative.

UrbanRe Vitalization Group LLC is the city of Milwaukee’s first local Full Service Solar Electric Installation Firm with a NABCEP Certified installer. UrbanRE is guiding the way to help communities; residences and business become more energy efficient and use renewable energy solutions.

“UrbanRe Vitalization Group LLC is dedicated to making renewable energy accessible for the city of Milwaukee and Wisconsin residents and businesses,” said Lisa Schaal and Ed Zinthefer, President and Vice President with UrbanRe. “By partnering with Focus on Energy we will be able to extend our reach and get more people to start thinking about renewable energy. By installing more renewable energy systems we are not only strengthening our businesses, we anticipate creating “green jobs” with family supporting wages, while making a positive impact on our environment and the lives of our children and future generations.

UrbanRe works with homeowners, business, churches, schools, local government and non-profit organizations. We are focused on the urban environment and helping non-profit organizations like churches and schools install photovoltaic (PV or solar electric) systems as a way to offset their electric usage, as well as become more energy efficient and as a teaching tool to educate students and members of the community about solar energy. UrbanRe works with clients from the early stages of investigating renewable energy systems by performing certified solar site assessments to determine a property’s renewable energy potential, as well as system installation and interconnection to the We Energies electric grid. We Energies is offering a matching grant to non-profits to install renewable energy systems in addition to the incentives received from the Focus on Energy Program. Focus offers Cash-Back Rewards for installing a solar electric system, with a maximum reward of $35,000. UrbanRe offers clients a turnkey and streamlined process from start to finish; including assisting clients with incentive paperwork which can sometimes be a barrier to system installations.

Focus on Energy’s Renewable Energy Program strives to make renewable energy an attainable option by encouraging Wisconsin residents and businesses to investigate and adopt renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and biomass. It seeks to raise awareness, provide training and financing, enhance marketing and support the installation of renewable energy systems across Wisconsin. The program also offers technical assistance, funding and incentives for site assessments, and maintains active lists of renewable energy contractors. Financial incentives are also available for eligible residents and businesses to install renewable energy systems.

“A growing number of Wisconsin residents and businesses are using renewable energy systems to reduce their energy costs and keep our air and water cleaner for future generations,” said Don Wichert, program director for Focus on Energy’s Renewable Energy Program. “Focus on Energy is making renewable energy an easy option by creating a healthy supply chain of market providers and energy experts, both in-state and from across the country, to help Wisconsin residents plan and install renewable energy systems.”
