The Museum of Wisconsin Art invites the public to celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Museum. The Museum will host its 13th annual An Evening of Wine and Roses on Saturday, February 7 beginning at 5:00 p.m. A premiere wine tasting experience, this event is unique because of its limited number of tickets available to the public, its high quality of wine offerings selected for this tasting and exceptional wines available for a voice auction. This event typically sells out in advance of the event.
Wine vendors, who represent choice wines from select vineyards from around the world, explain the factors that affect the character of each of the unique wine types and varieties being offered that evening. This year’s event will also include a beer tasting. Wine and beer tasting tables, along with tables featuring gourmet cheeses and hors d’oeuvres will be positioned throughout the 21,000 square foot museum allowing guests to enhance their experience by viewing art from Wisconsin artists.
The wine tasting begins at 5:00 p.m. with a live auction and raffle at 7:00 p.m. The auction and raffle includes over 20 lots of select and reserve wines. New to this year’s auction are unique, special getaways with an art, beer or wine theme. The event concludes at approximately 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers.
