MADISON, Wis.– December 11, 2008 – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. is pleased to announce the addition of Michelle Manning Ph.D. to its Intellectual Property Practice Group in Madison.

Manning is an experienced attorney whose practice includes counseling clients on legal and strategic issues relating to intellectual property, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing patent license agreements and other technology-related agreements, evaluating patents and patent applications for due diligence analyses, and drafting clearance opinions.

Her technical focus is in the areas of chemistry, nanotechnology, clean technology and advanced materials. Manning has prosecuted a variety of patents in these areas, including patents related to nanomaterials, semiconductor-based devices (including semiconductor lasers, light-emitting diodes, photovoltaic cells, and photodetectors), chemical- and bio-sensors, metals and metal alloys, and polymers.

Manning received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, as well as her law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
