Teamsters: Statement after receiving Waste Management’s ‘last, best and final offer’

Official Statement of Teamsters Local 200 Secretary-Treasurer Tom Millonzi

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Today our bargaining committee received what Waste Management is terming its “last, best and final offer” following six hours of bargaining.

Traditionally, when a company issues its last, best and final offer they are closing any further negotiations and refusing to entertain any counteroffer from the union.

We will review the offer and speak with the workers regarding the details. At this time we will not be making any public statements regarding the specific details within the offer until the members on strike have had an opportunity to fully understand what the company has put on the table.
