* 7:30 a.m. – NFIB breakfast and legislative briefing featuring presentations by Rep. Leah Vukmir, Chair, Assembly Committee on Health and Health Care Reform; Jack Fischer, Secretary, Wisconsin Department of Commerce; Ray Marchiori, Regional Advocate, Small Business Administration.

Who: Wisconsin small-business owners and Bill G. Smith, NFIB/Wisconsin state director, will join policymakers to discuss healthcare and other small-business priorities.

Where: Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center

NFIB/Wisconsin, along with 21 other trade and professional associations, will meet with elected officials to promote issues that important to the Wisconsin small business community.  The day-long event begins with the NFIB breakfast with special legislative briefing at 7:30 a.m.

Throughout the day Conference participants will hear from a variety of prominent speakers on the political landscape in 2008 and the legislative challenges facing the business community. Governor Jim Doyle will deliver the keynote address at 3:30 p.m.

Members of the media will have the opportunity to talk with small business owners and legislators about issues of importance to economic growth.
