DODGEVILLE, Wis., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Lands’ End Business Outfitters announced Hershey Theatre, Melitta USA, Inc., and Texoma Educators Federal Credit Union as the winners of its apparel makeovers, and the recipients of a customized branded apparel program, valued at up to $20,000.

“Chosen from nearly 5,000 entries, the three winning companies shared a desire for an updated and unified look,” said John Maher, vice president, Lands’ End Business Outfitters. “Employees are a natural extension of a company’s brand and implementing a simple yet cohesive branded apparel solution can quickly lead to increased employee satisfaction and productivity, enhanced brand visibility and improved customer loyalty.”

About the Winners:

Hershey Theatre

Although the Hershey Theatre recently underwent a major restoration in preparation of its 75th anniversary — from new paint to window treatments and lighting — the apparel for its staff and volunteers did not. With employees relying on their own style preferences, and volunteers in all shapes and sizes sharing bright red branded vests, the look has been the same for 30 years.

“We need an identity for our employees that says, ‘I’m part of this great team,'” said Diane Paul, assistant executive director, Hershey Theatre. “We worked with Lands’ End Business Outfitters to create an identifiable, uniformed and updated look for our office personnel, ushers, concessionaires and bartenders.”

Hershey’s makeover includes the more than 350 showtime volunteers that staff theatre performances. Volunteers will be outfitted in a modern and professional look — Lands’ End China Blue Performance Sweaters with the Hershey’s logo. The logo will also appear on Hershey Theatre’s management team’s Tailored Suit Separates, creating a unified look across all areas of the organization.

Melitta USA, Inc.

Premium coffee and filter company Melitta USA, Inc. needed a solution to further sharpen its brand identity. The company was interested a program that promoted the consistent use of both its logo and apparel worn at trade shows to truly reflect the strength of the company’s brand.

“Diversity is one of our company’s greatest strengths and is the key to bringing extraordinary creativity, innovation and energy to our business,” said Jeff Bridges, director of operations for Melitta USA, Inc. “However, there is too much diversity in our branded apparel. As a winner of this makeover, we look forward to eliminating this obstacle and providing a fresh, recognizable branded look.

Melitta’s makeover solution centers around three colors: aegean green, ivory and black. From brand appropriate polos to flattering knit tops, each Lands’ End piece is coordinated to positively project the Melitta brand beyond the company’s facilities as employees travel to tradeshows and share with employees and business partners.

Texoma Educators Federal Credit Union

In anticipation of its 50th anniversary, TEFCU recently launched a new branding campaign. From a new Website and logo, to redesigned brochures and renovated offices, the company’s goal was to create an updated, cohesive and professional look. The only element left was the employees’ wardrobes.

“As a financial institution, it is crucial that our members see us as professional and trustworthy,” said Emily Limbacher, marketing director for TEFCU. “We are confident that Lands’ End Business Outfitters will create a comfortable, quality solution that is aligned with our rebranding efforts, will excite and motivate employees, and will increase customer loyalty.”

Soon TEFCU clients will be able to easily identify employees with Lands’ End Pima Polos, Twinsets, Broadcloth Shirts and Fine Gauge Sweater Vests in colors that mirror TEFCU’s brand colors and match the credit union offices’ new interiors.

Company makeovers have already begun and are expected to be completed by early fall.

“We are especially thrilled with the response from small businesses like TEFCU and Hershey Theatre and as a result we have extended our No Minimums program through January 31, 2008,” said Maher. “No Minimums allows companies to begin their own makeover by purchasing as many items as needed and always paying the same per-item logo fee.”
