PSC to Hold Public Hearings on Proposed Transmission Line from Madison to Waunakee

MADISON – The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) will hold public hearings in Madison and Waunakee on February 3rd and 5th regarding American Transmission Company’s (ATC) application to construct a new transmission line in Dane County from North Madison to Waunakee.


Citizens are invited to provide testimony on ATC’s request to build approximately 8 miles of new 138 kilovolt transmission line from the North Madison substation in the town of Vienna to the Huiskamp substation in the town of Westport.


Public comments on ATC’s application will be included in the record the Commission will review to make a decision.  The Commission has the authority to approve, deny or modify the application.  Citizens are encouraged to attend one of the hearings, which are scheduled for:
