Midwest Airlines Continues 2007 Strategic Growth Plans With Launch of Service to Seattle/Tacoma

MILWAUKEE, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Midwest Airlines (AMEX:MEH) today announced continued route expansion as part of its 2007 strategic growth plan with the launch of service to Seattle/Tacoma International Airport — the 49th destination in the airline’s nationwide network. The daily service, starting April 1, will be offered nonstop from Kansas City, with easy connections via Kansas City to and from Milwaukee and other cities.

The nonstop flights will operate as Midwest Airlines Signature Service, which provides travelers additional comfort and space. Midwest’s new Boeing 717 jet aircraft feature two-by-two leather seating, extra legroom, and newly designed Recaro seats with adjustable headrests and footrests. Onboard service includes complimentary soft drinks, packaged snacks and baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies, with the airline’s buy-onboard Best Care Cuisine available for purchase. DigEplayer portable inflight entertainment systems are offered for rent on longer flights.

“We’re committed to providing a superior, competitively priced product, great customer service, and convenient schedules to the cities travelers want to visit,” said Scott R. Dickson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “Our customers have been requesting Seattle/Tacoma service and we are delighted to respond.”

The new service is part of Midwest’s previously announced long-term business plan, which includes route expansion and equipment upgrades featuring at least six new destinations and as many as 12 new routes in 2007.

Tickets for the new Seattle/Tacoma service may be purchased at midwestairlines.com. Schedules, including a downloadable timetable, and fares are also available on the Web site.
