Last Days to Visit SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Richland County Before it Closes

ATLANTA, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announces today that due to a steady decrease of activity, the Disaster Loan Outreach Center located in Richland Center will close Wednesday, September 26 at the close of business.

SBA urges disaster victims to visit the Center before the closing to obtain one-on-one assistance and information about SBA’s disaster assistance program. SBA also encourages those victims who receive applications to return the completed applications as quickly as possible. The Center is located in Richland County, at the Production Services Building, 301 Industrial Drive, Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Because the SBA Disaster Assistance Program is the primary form of federal assistance to those affected by a disaster most homeowners and renters, and all businesses owners will be referred directly to the SBA for low-interest loans when they register for assistance. “The home loan application provides necessary information for determining the appropriate assistance for that applicant. If the SBA decides not to offer a loan, the individual is then automatically referred to other available disaster assistance,” said Frank Skaggs, Director of SBA Field Operations Center East. “We want to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Richland County Emergency Service,” said Skaggs. “By providing the facility for our Disaster Loan Outreach Center, they have helped disaster victims in their community.
