Governor Doyle signs bills into law

Senate Bill 177 increases the voluntary assessment paid by corn growers to 0.5 cents per bushel, to fund corn marketing and research.


 


Governor Doyle thanked Senators Pat Kreitlow and Dan Kapanke, and Representatives Al Ott and Andy Jorgensen for their work on the bill. 


 


Assembly Bill 198 allows conservation wardens employed by the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC) to aid or assist a Wisconsin peace officer, or to make an arrest, for a violation of state law under specified circumstances.


 


Governor Doyle thanked the Joint Legislative Council for their work on the bill.


 


Assembly Bill 393 adds one additional circuit court branch for Barron, Chippewa, Dodge, Green, Monroe, and St. Croix counties.
