ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK USA PLANS UNDERWAY

MADISON – Schools, businesses, communities, organizations and individuals are invited to enter their Entrepreneurship Week USA (E-ship Week USA) activities on a national website www.entrepreneurshipweekusa.com. The first-ever coordinated national effort to promote the importance of entrepreneurism will be held February 24-March 3, 2007, and the website will act as a clearinghouse for all activities throughout the United States.

“I encourage everyone interested in teaching or learning more about the role entrepreneurs will play in the future economy of Wisconsin – and the world – to participate in Entrepreneurship Week USA,” says Department of Commerce Secretary Mary P. Burke. “The purpose of the week is to educate the public and promote the entrepreneurial spirit across our country.”

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007,  from 4:00-6:00 p.m., the UW-Green Bay  Business Assistance Center, 2701 Larsen Road, Green Bay, will celebrate EntrepreneurshipWeek USA with an open house.  Participants can meet the people who make up the Business Assistance Center and learn more about the services that can benefit emerging and existing businesses and the organizations who serve them. The open house will highlight incubator services with flexible lease space; business plan development; one-on-one counseling; technical assistance; and resource development.
