On September 6, 2006 Voces de la Frontera, released a statment to the press on the Milwaukee Labor Day march. Our original estimate of 70,000 participants was based on the length of the march from Zeidler Park to Laborfest and the average density of the crowd from march coordinators. Based on a revision of the measurement of the march route and additional input from other sources, the revised estimate of the march is 20,000-25,000. This revised number still remains one of the highest turn outs for Labor Day mobilizations across the country.
