OSHKOSH – University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh business graduate students scored in the 95th percentile among students from 82 colleges and universities nationwide participating in the 2005 national Educational Testing Service (ETS) field exam.

A random sample of 50 UW-Oshkosh master of business administration (MBA) students completed the ETS exam, which assesses a student’s knowledge of marketing, management, finance, managerial accounting and strategic integration concepts.

Other institutions participating in the MBA exam included Rutgers, Clemson and Texas A&M universities.

In 2003, UW-Oshkosh undergraduates who took the ETS major field test also ranked in the top 5 percent of students at nearly 80 comparable schools who took that exam.

“These results show we have a quality curriculum and outstanding students,” said UW-Oshkosh Business Dean E. Alan Hartman.

The ETS tests, designed to measure instruction and curriculum quality, are endorsed by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the premier accreditation a business school can achieve.

The UW-Oshkosh College of Business, with more than 12,000 alumni and 500 enrolled MBA students, is accredited by AACSB International, a distinction earned by fewer than 20 percent of business schools in the nation.

The college has offered graduate degrees since 1970 in Oshkosh, Green Bay and Stevens Point. It was the first in the nation to achieve multi-site accreditation. For more information, visit www.mba.uwosh.edu.
