 Based in Brookfield, Wis., the new family-operated business provides move management, professional organizing, shopping and concierge services for people of all ages, but specializes in serving seniors and their families.


 “Today’s seniors are living longer, are more independent, and want to remain in their homes and communities as long as possible,” said Kathleen Dich, founder and owner of Timeless Assistance.  “Sometimes they need a little assistance so that they can maintain that independence and age gracefully in place.  We’re here to lend a helping hand and an understanding ear.”


 The company is a labor of love born of first-hand experience.  Dich established Timeless Assistance after helping her own mother and mother-in-law face the challenges many senior citizens encounter – downsizing, leaving behind their home of many years, and diminishing physical and mental abilities.  Drawing on these experiences, along with her background as a professional organizer, she envisioned a special service that would offer a flexible menu of services for seniors and their families.


 She is joined in running Timeless Assistance by her husband Kenneth, their sons Gregory and David, and their daughter-in-law Julie.  In keeping with that family orientation, each client is welcomed as a member of the extended family and provided the professional, compassionate, caring service Dich would want for a member of her own immediate family.


 Senior Move Management


Downsizing and transitioning into a new home can be a daunting undertaking at any age, but particularly for seniors.  The organizational details and physical tasks can be overwhelming, not to mention the emotional aspects of leaving the place that has been home, the hub of family life, and the backdrop for a lifetime of memories.  Timeless Assistance stands with its clients every step of the way, as advocate, confidant and friend.


 The company can manage a move from start to finish or provide assistance with specific tasks.  Services include developing a move plan; organizing, sorting and paring down belongings; arranging for disposal of unwanted items through auction, estate sale, consignment shop and/or donation; hiring and managing movers; packing; unpacking; settling the client into his or her new home; and removal of all packing materials and boxes.


 “We help clients manage the physical demands of moving and, more importantly, help them cope with the psychological and emotional aspects of a move,” Dich said.  “We can coordinate all of the logistical details, relieving seniors and their families of those burdens and making sure everything proceeds smoothly.  We also provide compassion and understanding to help seniors adjust to this major life change.  That can be as simple as helping clients sift through their belongings and listening as they tell the stories.  We’ll even take photographs of their home and belongings and make a photo album as a remembrance of that part of their lives.”

Whether they’re downsizing and are faced with limited storage space, or are simply feeling overwhelmed by clutter, Dich uses her expertise as a professional organizer to help seniors streamline their homes, offices and lives.  She brings order to closets, cabinets, home offices, garages, attics and personal papers by working with each client to design a customized organizational system that is not only efficient, but also easy to maintain. 


 Concierge / Personal Assistant Services


With age, daily tasks can become even more of a chore.  Timeless Assistance can eliminate the hassle by tackling seniors’ “to do” lists.  Frequent requests include grocery shopping, pharmacy pick-ups and drop-offs, shipping and mailing, banking, bill paying, dry cleaning pick-ups and drop-offs, house and pet sitting, travel and vacation planning, special event planning, holiday shopping and gift wrapping, and gift returns and exchanges.
