Midwest Airlines: Launches Nonstop Seasonal Service to Ft. Myers and Adds Frequency to Meet Demand on Popular Florida Routes

KANSAS CITY, Mo.– Midwest Airlines (Amex: MEH) today said it would launch nonstop seasonal service between Kansas City and Ft. Myers, Fla., and also increase peak-season frequency on popular Florida routes.

Midwest will offer one daily roundtrip between Kansas City and Ft. Myers from November 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007. The airline will also add daily nonstop frequency to its Kansas City-Orlando and Kansas City-Ft. Lauderdale service to meet customer demand during peak travel periods. The additional Orlando service will run October 14, 2006 through April 30, 2007, while the added Ft. Lauderdale service will be offered November 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007.

Kansas City customers have long enjoyed Midwest Airlines’ service to Ft. Myers via Milwaukee, so we’re confident the new nonstop service will be popular,” said Scott R. Dickson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “We’re committed to providing Kansas City travelers with convenient schedules to the cities they want to visit.” With the added service, Midwest Airlines will offer 28 nonstop flights from Kansas City each weekday to 13 destinations nationwide.

Timing on the airline’s year-round Kansas City-Orlando service will be adjusted to offer passengers a desirable early morning departure from November through April.
