KI: National Survey From KI Finds Workers Wouldn’t Swap Boss for Celeb CEO

GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ — A national poll commissioned by KI, an industry-leading furniture manufacturer based in Green Bay, Wis., found that Americans would prefer to keep their current boss rather than report to a celebrity CEO. (The survey was conducted to mark “National Boss Day” on Monday, Oct. 16.)

Of the 1,000 adults questioned, 15 percent of respondents would keep their current boss over Bill Gates (13 percent), Oprah Winfrey (12 percent) and President George W. Bush (7 percent). Donald Trump and Martha Stewart squeaked in with 2 percent of the vote, and Michael Scott — the hilariously inept honcho on NBC’s The Office — claimed a measly one percent.

The majority, 38 percent, would like to boss themselves around — giving voice to their inner entrepreneur.

“A top-notch boss and quality office furniture are among the critical factors that contribute to a pleasant work environment — one that promotes productivity, wellness and overall job satisfaction,” said Norman Nance, IIDA, LEED AP, vice president-marketing, KI.”
