Gov. Doyle: to Celebrate West Bend Mutual Expansion

Governor Doyle will attend a groundbreaking ceremony at West Bend Mutual Insurance Company in West Bend tomorrow, Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 10:30 a.m.  West Bend Mutual will add more than 220,000 square feet to its existing facility, and is expected to create at least 100 jobs as a result of the expansion.


West Bend Mutual was founded in 1894 and provides property/casualty insurance for thousands of policyholders in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.  Governor Doyle will be joined by Department of Commerce Secretary Mary Burke, company representatives, and local officials.


Later in the day, Governor Jim Doyle will announce an economic development project that is expected to create 25 new jobs at 1:30 p.m. at T-Lon Products in Hartland. Governor Doyle will be joined by company founder William Olson and current owners Bob and Chris Olson.
