“I didn’t want to be in a cube anymore,” she said, “so I decided to do the chocolate thing.”
Two and a half years later, Gail Ambrosius, the Chocolatier recently named Best of Madison, continues on her chocolate journey. With one job layoff and a sincere love of making chocolate, Gail ventured to Paris, France, and studied at the Valrhona Ecole de Grand Chocolat. Upon returning to Madison, Gail consulted the UW Small Business Development Center, where she devised a business plan for her first shop at 1882 E Main St.
And now Gail Ambrosius, Chocolatier, is embarking on another journey – two and a half blocks away – to a larger space at 2086 Atwood Avenue. Opening day is September 6, 2006.
Needing to move into a larger space, Gail wants to give the business room to grow. This brings adequate work space for her team of employees. A beautiful display case will do justice to her fine handmade chocolates, making them more accessible to local patrons. “I am truly grateful to our community which has shown such encouraging support for our move.”
