Community Options, Inc.: What Works? Conference Press Release

Community Options, Inc., a national nonprofit organization providing
housing, advocacy, support, and employment services for people with
disabilities, presents What Works?, a two-day conference for people with
disabilities, parents, professionals, and employers to examine best
practices for employment for people with disabilities. The conference,
funded in part through a grant from the US Department of Education, will
take place Monday, May 1 and Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Omni Austin Hotel
Downtown in Austin, Texas. Among the conference’s prestigious speakers,
presenters, and panelists is John Hager, Assistant Secretary for the US
Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative
Services. With several interesting and influential speakers, panelists,
and workshops focusing on such topics as Competitive and Supported
Employment, Entrepreneurial Venues, Foundation Perspectives, Government
Funding, Assistive Technology, and School to Work Transition, What Works?
promises to be an enlightening examination of what does work in the
