WAFP: Announces New Officers, Board Directors for 2006

THIENSVILLE, Wis. (December 19, 2005)—The Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) appointed Dr. Alan K. David of Milwaukee as its new president. Dr. David is the chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. John R. Brill, also of Milwaukee, assumed the president-elect position, while Drs. Glenn A. Loomis, Janesville, and Andrea M. Gavin, Plymouth, took over the first vice president and second vice president spots, respectively.

Dr. Corazon B. Loteyro, who practices in Mercer, will serve as the new secretary-treasurer for the Academy and the Foundation Board of Directors. Dr. Erik A. Gundersen of Onalaska will act as chair.

New Academy directors include:

• Amy Sue Coulthard, D.O. – Eau Claire

• Jennifer Hussli, M.D. – Janesville

• Tom Luetzow, M.D. – Watertown

• F. Bradford Meyers, M.D. – Jefferson

• Alan I. Schwartzstein, M.D. – Oregon

• Frank J. Rubino, M.D. – Wausau

• Sharon Anderson – Student Director

• Rebecca Lundh – Student Director

• Michael J. Martin – Corporate Advisory Council Director

• Frank Cistaro – Corporate Advisory Council Director

Delegates also were chosen to represent the Academy at the national level and at the Wisconsin Medical Society. Drs. Susan Kinast-Porter, Monroe, and Daniel Sherry, Ellsworth, will act as the WAFP delegates to the American Academy of Family Physicians. They will be assisted by new alternate delegate Dr. William E. Raduege of Woodruff. Dr. Elizabeth Raduege of Hayward will serve as an alternate delegate to the Wisconsin Medical Society.

The following WAFP Foundation Board of Directors members also assumed new positions for 2006:

The Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians is the state chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
