Every day, wireless phones are used to help people in emergency situations. Some of the most heroic rescues are made with the help of a wireless phone. The wireless industry celebrates the most heroic wireless stories with its annual “VITA TM Wireless Samaritan Award,” a national award sponsored by the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association.
Winners receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., to receive the award in May, 2005.
U.S. Cellular encourages its customers to nominate a friend, family member or colleague for this award. Details on how to submit a nomination are included in the attached release.
