Suttle-Straus: Completes Expansion

Suttle-Straus, a Waunakee based communications company, has completed the move into its new 120,000 square foot distribution cen-ter. The new building houses the company’s digital imaging, mailing, IT and fulfillment operations. It replaces a 36,000 square foot facility that was located across the street from the main plant. The new structure is connected to the 90,000 square foot main plant, creating a 210,000 square foot campus of operations.

Suttle-Straus moved to the Waunakee Industrial Park in 1992 following its initial construction of a 36,000 square foot building. At that time, the annual sales of the company were $3,250,000. The January 2005 sales of the company were $3,279,000 and it plans on reaching the $30 million level in annualized sales this year. The new building was constructed by The Renschler Company.

The new facility has a warehouse capacity of over 7000 skid spots for storage of client materials. The digital imaging, mailing and distribution areas are the fastest growing aspects of the company operations. Sut-tle-Straus currently has 192 employees and expects to add 10 to 20 more over the course of the 2005.
