[MADISON, Wis.] April 27, 2005 The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Madison Chapter has confirmed two educational meetings will be held in May. The Challenges of Russian Public Relations, May 19, will be presented by John Luecke University of Wisconsin Whitewater, teacher of public relations and communication courses. Suzanne Bates, former WKOW TV Channel 27 anchor in Madison, will present Speak Like a CEO, May 24.

Subject: Challenges of Russian Public Relations

Speaker: John Luecke, University of Wisconsin Whitewater, teacher of public relations and communication courses

Topic: Luecke will share his experiences about the unique challenges Russian Public Relations (PR) professionals face when practicing PR in an emerging market economy, insight he gained from participation in a 2004 faculty study tour of St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Speaker: Suzanne Bates, President, CEO, Bates Communications, Inc.

Topic: Bates will share some of the secrets included in her new book Speak Like a CEO: Secrets to Commanding Attention and Getting Results. Bates will provide tips to give better speeches, presentations and media interviews, as well as discuss how to be yourself and find your own voice, so you are both powerful and authentic with any audience.
