Marquette University: Vice Chair of Ernst & Young Receives High Honor from Marquette University Alum Actively Involved in Marquette Community

MILWAUKEE- John F. Ferraro was presented with the 2005 Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Alumnus Award by the Marquette University College of Business Administration. Ferraro is a 1977 alumnus of Marquette University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Alumnus Award is granted to a graduate in recognition of a distinguished career and outstanding service to Marquette University.

Ferraro began his career with Ernst & Young in 1977 when he joined the audit staff in Milwaukee. He was promoted to partner in 1988, and became vice chair in September 2001. His clients include Sprint, Whirlpool, Madison Dearborn Partners, Golder, Thoma, Cressey and Butler Capital.

Ferraro has extensive client service experience with large national corporations, entrepreneurial companies, merger and acquisitions, and internally the Ernst & Young’s Assurance and Advisory Business Services practice. He is also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the Accounting Honor Society; Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society; Beta Gamma Sigma, the AACSB honor society for accredited business schools; and a former Marquette University student government member.

The award was presented to Ferraro at the 81st Annual College of Business Administration’s Honors Dinner and Convocation at the Marquette Alumni Memorial Union. Ferraro has been active with Marquette, most recently hosting a reception at the Ernst & Young New York offices.
