Milwaukee, Wisconsin (January 13, 2005). Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is pleased to announce that Mark C. Witt, a shareholder and member of the Corporate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office, has been selected for inclusion in The Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty ” listing, which features the Milwaukee area leaders of tomorrow.

Witt’s practice is focused on business law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity and venture capital. He advises and represents public and private companies in a wide variety of industries. He has been involved in numerous public and private business transactions as counsel to buyers, sellers, lenders and investors. He also is experienced in international business and restructurings.
Witt’s community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Curative Care Network, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the YMCA Holton Youth Center, and the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Curling Club. He also served as co-chair of the 2002 Holton’s Strong Kids Campaign, and received the 2002 Volunteer of the Year Award and Distinguished Leadership Award from the YMCA.

Witt graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. He completed his undergraduate education in political science at Stanford University.
