The grant will allow for the continuation of the very successful Future Fields project, which has assisted hundreds of farmers and farm family members find employment off the farm to supplement their income. In some cases, the additional income has allowed a family to continue operating farms that have been in the family for generations.

Once approved for funding, farmers will receive services including remediation, job search and placement assistance, occupational skills training and supportive services to assist workers in meeting the needs of employers in the current job market.
