Dept. of Commerce: Secretary Burke Announces Takahiro Hagisako as Jetro Business Advisor

MADISON – Department of Commerce Secretary Mary P. Burke today announced the
Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has selected Takahiro Hagisako as
Business advisor for the State of Wisconsin.

“Takahiro Hagisako will be a tremendous asset to Wisconsin because of his
bioscience and business experience,” said Secretary Burke. “He will bring
his international business experiences and assist Wisconsin businesses in
creating export connections with Japan. Japan is Wisconsin’s third largest
export destination.”

Prior to working for JETRO Chicago, Hagisako served as the project manager
of a global pharmaceutical firm and the sales and marketing manager of a
global preventive healthcare products company. He completed both a master’s
degree and bachelor’s degree in biotechnology at Kyushu University, one of
the top national institutes of Japan. Hagisako also received a certificate
in marketing, entrepreneurship and small business management from New York
University and a global certificate in marketing from New York University.

JETRO has six offices in the United States that provide information and
support to American companies looking for successful entry and expansion in
the Japanese market. JETRO provides a wide-range of services, such as timely
