Dept. of Commerce: Governor Doyle Announces Business Project in Racine County

MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Nimco Controls, Inc., Sturtevant, Racine County, will receive a $200,000 Community Block Grant – Economic Development (CDBG-ED) loan from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) for purchasing equipment. The project will create 33 jobs.

“Through my ‘Grow Wisconsin’ initiative, we are helping businesses make a lasting investment in Wisconsin’s economy,” Governor Doyle said. “This project will stimulate the local economy and create jobs for the community. I applaud Nimco Controls, Inc. for making this investment, and bringing new jobs to Racine County.”

Nimco Controls, Inc. provides a wide range of hydraulic and electrical solutions for mobile machine builders that optimize machine performance and controllability by utilizing the latest technology in both fields. The total project cost is $917,500.
