Dept. of Commerce: Governor Doyle Announces $275,000 Grant For Ristow Trucking & Hammond Cold Storage in St. Croix County

Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Ristow Trucking,
Inc., and Hammond Cold Storage, Inc., Somerset, St. Croix County, will
receive a $275,000 Community Development Block Grant for Economic
Development (CDBG-ED) to purchase new equipment.

“Through my ‘Grow Wisconsin’ Initiative, we’re helping
companies across our state make investments in their workers and business,”
Governor Doyle said. “This grant will help Ristow Trucking and Hammond Cold
Storage build a new warehouse and create good-paying jobs. I’m pleased that
the company is showing a continued commitment to Wisconsin by expanding its
operations in Somerset.”

Ristow Trucking, Inc., and Hammond Cold Storage, Inc.,
transport refrigerated and frozen food products. The company will invest
$12 million to build a 129,000 square foot storage warehouse with an office
area and a 15,000 square foot maintenance repair facility. This project will
create 50 jobs.

The CDBG-ED program assists businesses that will invest
private funds and create jobs as they expand or relocate to Wisconsin. For
