MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. today announced that attorney James E. Braza will become president of the firm and that current firm president Mark Vetter will assume the newly created position of chairman of the board, effective Oct. 1.
“Jim has exhibited excellent management skills and a keen knowledge of the legal profession as a member of the Davis & Kuelthau board and as head of the firm’s litigation team,” Vetter said. “He has also developed strong relationships with attorneys in the firm and is universally respected by both attorneys and staff. I am confident that he is well-prepared to assume the president’s position and that he is the right person to lead the firm into the future.”
As president of the firm, Braza will be responsible for the overall management of the firm, the implementation of the firm’s strategic plan and overseeing the firm’s budget and finances. He will also continue to service clients’ needs in litigation matters.
“Our firm has many opportunities for growth and expansion, and I am excited about the chance to help lead Davis & Kuelthau into the future,” Braza said. “I am confident that the knowledge I’ve gained practicing law and serving on the Davis & Kuelthau board will be a benefit in this new position. I look forward to working with my colleagues to build upon the successes we have achieved over the years under Mark’s leadership.”
In the newly created position as the firm’s chairman, Vetter will serve as the chief public representative, marketing officer, advocate and spokesperson for the firm.
