PLANNING Design Build Inc., 901 Deming Way, Madison, has received two 2004 Build Wisconsin Awards for the Steinhafels Furniture Superstore in Waukesha. The awards are sponsored by Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin.
Ken Pientka, chief operating officer of PLANNING Design Build, said the firm was recognized in the Design Build category as well as the Environmental Excellence division. Steinhafels includes a distribution center, corporate headquarters and the company’s largest retail store in a two-story, 420,000 square foot building, which opened in May.
PLANNING Design Build specializes in office buildings, retail complexes, high-tech buildings, destination resorts and indoor water parks. The company, formed in 1973, designs and builds throughout the Midwest.
