Construction will start in mid-April for a fuel station, convenience store and restaurant at the northeast corner of Highway 43 and Highway 11, Town of Elkhorn, according to Baljit (BJ) Gill, owner. Bachmann Construction, of Madison, has been named the construction manager for the 8000 square foot building which is expected to open in December.

The 5400 square foot fuel station and convenience store will be open from 4 a.m. until midnight. Gill is leasing 2600 square feet of space to the West Wind Restaurant, Darien, which will be open from 5 a.m.-11 p.m. There will be seating for 70 people.

Gill, who previously owned BJ’s BP, Inc., in Mukwonago which he sold in 2015, said the LaFayette Fuel Plaza will replace a cornfield adjacent to AM Towing Service.
