Fox Cities: St. Mary Central High School (SMC) is extremely proud to announce the formation of the Edward and Rosella Rippl Scholarship. The scholarship was established to honor Edward and Rosella Rippl and to celebrate their generosity and impact on SMC.

Edward and Rossella Rippl were dedicated and generous supporters of St. Mary Central High School and Catholic education. Edward was a 1936 graduate and Rosella was an honorary alumnus of SMC. Through the years, they shared their time, talent and treasure with the school and its students. They were active parents when their two sons, Jim (SMC ‘61) and Wayne (SMC ‘64), attended the school, and remained generous and active supporters throughout their lives. From 2002 to 2007, the Rippls provided over 30 college scholarships to SMC graduating seniors.

Sadly, Edward passed away in 2004 and Rosella in 2008. They made provisions to continue their generous support of St. Mary Central High School for years to come.

With the establishment of the Edward and Rosella Rippl Scholarship, Edward and Rosella will continue to have a lasting and significant impact on our community. The Rippl scholarship will provide tuition assistance to St. Mary Central High School students.

“Edward and Rosella Rippl did so much for St. Mary Central and our students throughout their lives. Their generosity and devotion to the school was only matched by their humility and modesty. We are humbled by their dedication and belief in our school. It is an honor to carry out their wishes and the wishes of their family by establishing this scholarship in their name,” stated Mr. Michael Sullivan, President.

St. Mary Central, a regional Catholic high school, is part of Twin City Catholic Educational System (TCCES).
