PSC to Hold Public Hearings on Proposed Wind Project in Fond du Lac County

MADISON – The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) will hold public hearings in Malone, Wisconsin on Thursday, November 30 regarding We Energies’ application to construct a wind electric generation facility in Fond du Lac County.


Citizens are invited to provide testimony on We Energies’ request to construct approximately 88 wind turbines, which could generate up to 200 megawatts of energy, in the towns of Calumet and Marshfield.  We Energies must receive PSC approval before it can construct the wind farm and the facility may also require other state and local permits.


Public comments on We Energies’ application will be included in the record the Commission will review to make a decision.  The Commission has the authority to approve, modify or deny the application.  Citizens are encouraged to attend one of the hearings, which are scheduled for:
