Ward: Health-care economy robust but ripe for change

David Ward, president of Northstar Economics calls the state’s health -care economy robust but not sustainable.

Ward, in a WisPolitics/Mediasite interview last month sponsored by the Wisconsin REALTORS Association, says the health-care sector in the state creates a lot of high-paying jobs but presents higher and uncertain costs pressures for individuals and business.

Ward predicts that the business community some day will be calling for a single-payer system or some other imposed scheme to bring certainty to health-care costs.
