Gartner, former Assistant City Attorney for the City of Milwaukee, has joined the firm’s Milwaukee office as Of Counsel in the Transactional Practice Group. Known for his creative and unique approach to real estate projects, Mr. Gartner has played a significant role in structuring some of the most notable developments in the City of Milwaukee. Mr. Gartner further strengthens Michael Best’s Real Estate practice, which recently expanded with the hire of former Deputy City Attorney, Danielle Bergner. Both Mr. Gartner and Ms. Bergner bring a wealth of experience in real estate development and finance, urban redevelopment, zoning and land use, and municipal law to an already strong team. Midwest Real Estate News recently ranked Michael Best as a top 25 Real Estate Law Firm in their 2015 “Best of the Best” guide.
Mr. Gartner’s ability to create unconventional solutions for challenging projects earned him the recognition as the City of Milwaukee’s “Public Official of the Year” in The Daily Reporter’s 2012 Newsmakers list.
