Michael Best & Friedrich LLP: Michael Best attorneys named to Lawyers of Color Hot Lists

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP attorney Erica Jeung Dickey has been named on Lawyers of Color, Inc.’s (LOC) “2014 Lawyers of Color Hot List.” LOC recognizes early -to mid-career minority attorneys, under the age of 40, for their accomplishments and activity in legal initiatives. The 2014 honorees were chosen by committee selection based on noteworthy accomplishments and nominations from mentors, peers and colleagues.

“It is such an honor to be recognized by the LOC and other professionals throughout the legal field for my work,” Dickey said.

Additionally, last year Michael Best attorney Denise Greathouse was honored by LOC on the first list. The 2013 honorees were selected based on nominations, bar publications and legal blogs.

LOC produces publications for lawyers of South Asian American, Pacific Asian American, Hispanic, and Native American heritage. With a national reach, LOC has received recognition from the American Bar Association, Thomas Reuters, and The National Black Law Student Association, among others.

Erica Jeung Dickey is an attorney in the Washington, D.C. office and a member of Michael Best’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Ms. Dickey focuses on matters regarding trademark and copyright law. She first joined Michael Best as a new associate in 2007, before relocating to Honolulu, Hawaii to clerk with the non-profit law firm, Lawyers for Equal Justice, as an AmeriCorps Member. During her tenure with that firm, Ms. Dickey participated in class action impact litigation.

Denise Greathouse is an attorney practicing in the firm’s Illinois and Wisconsin offices. As a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group, Ms. Greathouse represents management exclusively in a full range of labor and employment matters. Her practice encompasses all aspects of employment law, including labor arbitration, employment tort and breach of contract lawsuits, police and fire commission matters, employee separation/ termination matters, unemployment compensation matters, and Social Security Disability matters. She also has experience investigating and consulting clients on matters involving discrimination, workers’ compensation and employee safety and health matters (including mine safety). A former prosecutor who still regularly appears before State and Federal Administrative Agencies and Courts, Ms. Greathouse is experienced handling litigation regarding employment-related claims and OSHA matters.
