IPSO: Announces new vended control system for tumble dryers

IPSO® ANNOUNCES NEW VENDED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR TUMBLE DRYERS

New machines have updated controls with competitive features

RIPON, Wis. — (Feb. 25, 2014) —IPSO®, Europe’s preferred laundry manufacturer for more than 40 years, has launched a new Micro-Display Control (MDC) system for its single and stack vend tumble dryers. The MDC control, which replaces IPSO’s former DX4 control on new machines, offers end users additional features on the already efficient tumble dryers at no additional cost to laundromat owners.

“We are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve the features and user-friendliness of our products,” IPSO North American Sales Manager, Kathryn Q. Rowen said. “This new MDC control is easier to read and gives vend customers additional dry cycle options.”

Featuring a larger display, the new control system creates a more consistent look with IPSO washer-extractors. The larger display comes with the added convenience of a status indicator light to alert store customers when their clothes are drying or cooling down.

In addition to the upgraded display, the control offers end users the choice of four dry cycles: low, medium, high and delicate. The addition of the delicate cycle provides customers with the option to dry clothes, such as high performance athletic apparel, at a speed and temperature that will help to preserve the clothing’s fibers.

IPSO tumble dryers continue to offer store owners the rugged design and heavy-duty door and hinge that stand up to rough use by laundromat customers.
