Madison–Today Governor Walker signed SSSB6, which will replace the current Department of Commerce with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation—a public-private partnership whose sole mission will be to assist the private sector in job creation.
“Secretary Jadin will do a fantastic job leading the new WEDC,” said Walker. “I would like to thank Senators Hopper and Zipperer and Representative Mary Williams for being leaders on this very important piece of job creation legislation.”
