MADISON, WI — DeWitt Ross & Stevens is pleased to announce the addition of Scott M. Paler to the Employment Relations and Litigation groups. Paler joins the firm as an associate in our Madison, Wisconsin office.

Paler previously worked at one of the nation’s largest labor and employment firms and has litigated cases on behalf of companies ranging in size from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. He has reached favorable outcomes in a wide-range of areas including: Title VII, Wisconsin’s Fair Employment Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and Breach of Contract and Trade Secrets.

Uniquely, Paler has developed a niche specialty in background screening. Over the last five years, he has assisted dozens of employers and consumer reporting agencies in creating sound, legally compliant background screening programs.

Paler received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and received his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin.
