UW- Whitewater: Named runner-up at national entrepreneurship conference

UW-WHITEWATER NAMED RUNNER-UP AT NATIONAL ENTRPEPRENURSHIP CONFERENCE

Whitewater, WI – The University of Wisconsin – Whitewater was named the runner-up for the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship National Model Undergraduate Program award at this year’s National Conference in San Diego.

The award is based on seven basic criteria including innovation, quality, comprehensiveness, sustainability, transferability, depth of support and impact.

UW-Whitewater’s entrepreneurship program represents an achievable model for the many regional comprehensive universities nationwide facing similar challenges,” said Dr. Jeff Vanevenhoven, associate professor of management at University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. “Our UW-Whitewater entrepreneurial ecosystem exemplifies the power of an engaged community with talented people to overcome the obstacle of limited resources and produce exemplary results. I hope this recognition continues to shine light on our students and their continued achievements.”
