Jackson Lewis: Welcomes principal Melissa Caulum Williams in Madison

MADISON, WI (Sept. 11, 2026) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Melissa Caulum Williams has joined the firm’s Madison office as a principal. Melissa arrives from Husch Blackwell and brings almost 20 years of experience advising employers on high-stakes internal investigations, workplace crisis management and litigation. 

“Melissa brings a practical, business-minded approach to advising employers on complex workplace issues, shaped by her experience both in-house and in private practice,” said Daniel D. Barker, office managing principal in Madison. “Her deep roots in Wisconsin, combined with her experience in advice and counseling, high-stakes internal investigations and employment litigation, will strengthen our Madison office and provide significant value to clients locally and across the country.” 

Melissa provides strategic and preventive counsel on a wide range of workplace matters, including employee discipline and termination, discrimination and harassment allegations, disability accommodations, leave requirements, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force and restrictive covenant issues. She also represents employers before state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration forums nationwide. 

Melissa regularly conducts sensitive internal investigations involving employees at all levels of an organization, including C-suite executives and board members. She advises employers on managing workplace crises involving business continuity, reputational risk and media attention. Her clients span a range of industries, with a particular focus on the insurance and financial services sectors, including credit unions.
