For its midyear migration report, U-Haul analyzed one-way transactions based on the generational group of its renters, considering customer moves over a 52-week period from July 2025 through June 2026.
What U-Haul found is that the renter’s stage of life plays a major role in where they are moving. Below are the leading destinations for U-Haul customers who are beginning their journeys in Milwaukee metro and moving to other states and metros, based on their generation:
